Light Neo-Lavender Transparent Bullseye Stringer 1842
Threads of glass pulled from re-melted Bullseye Compatible sheet. For use in kilnforming or torchworking.
Stringers come in 1 or 2-mm thicknesses and are approximately 451 mm long.
We have 1mm stringers in a pack of 10 or a 1mm tube with approximately 120 pieces. The tubes are a clear plastic cylinder 457 mm long and 19 mm in diameter.
We have a 2mm stringer available in a pack of 10 only
Bullseye is 90COE and isn't compatible with Effetre or Vetrofond Rods. The annealing Temperature range is 505- 520 Celsius.
Cold Characteristics
Colour shifts between transparent icy blue and lavender depending on the light source. 001842-0576 is more transparent than Neo-Lavender Shift (001442-0576). Beware, this style looks clear when viewed through didymium lenses.
Working Notes
Hues of shift colours change depending on thickness and/or lighting, regardless of whether they have been fired or not.
Torch: Use over oranges and reds to intensify brightness. A stable tint that is not prone to reduction in a neutral flame.
Kiln: Working properties and kilnformed characteristics are consistent with sheet glass. See sheet glass notes for this style.
Other
Finished work will have the same colour shift properties found in the cold glass.
