Dark Red Opaque Vetrofond Rod 436

Working notes:  This is a dark solid red glass that is dense and opaque in appearance. In the flame, it behaves well melting smoothly in a neutral flame.

When pulling stringers to surface decorate the bead, it thins out nicely and pulls to an even consistency. When the beads have cooled you can see colour variations across the bead surface. Deep colour striations and folds develop while making the bead and colour-shifting patterns form. This is not evident while the glass is hot and molten but a wonderful surprise once the bead has been annealed and is cool to the touch.

COE: 104 and is compatible with our other COE104 glass.
